Can you help me find some information on the horrors of the traps people use to catch rodents?

I'm writing a persuasive essay about using live traps instead of the kill traps and I want all the gory details.

There is a possibility that my essay will be featured in the local paper, so I'm trying to do my best to get people to start buying live-traps.

thanks! Can you help me find some information on the horrors of the traps people use to catch rodents?
Well, here is something for you. I had two more links but had to remove them because of the ten-link limit. I removed one from www.bancrueltraps.com, since you can explore their site and get all the info, plus one other that was an HTML version of the PDF article but otherwise identical.

Well, I think these might help if you investigate them thoroughly. Surely you will also get more info from other answers. You might want to check the various humane society sites, too.

Good luck, and let's hope you do indeed get this into the paper. It's a great project. Can you help me find some information on the horrors of the traps people use to catch rodents?
I'd focus on the glue traps.

The poor little critter will chew off their legs, dehydrate to death and all sorts of nasty things.

I'm against PETA, but they have some pictures and information you could use that's rather gory. I'd suggest that.
PETA gives some pretty graphic info. Try their website.
