What does it mean when your cat brings you dead rodents every night?

for the past three nights my cat has brought me dead baby moles and then tonight she brought me a dead mouse. what does that mean and how can i stop her from bringing them to me.she lays them right in front of the door where i almost step on them everytime. What does it mean when your cat brings you dead rodents every night?
She is giving you a gift by doing that. She thinks she is helping with feeding you by bringing her kill home, you must have done something right in her book. lol keep up the good work. What does it mean when your cat brings you dead rodents every night?
the truth is she is trying to win your approval. just doing her job.......not trying to help feed the family.....they know better...people don,t eat those thing,s.....but she is smarter than you think.....she,s showing that she is pulling her own weight......she,s head of rodent control....%26amp; to prove it she put,s them right where you can see them.....she won,t mind if you dispose of them after you see them.....she just need,s your approval....a thank,s %26amp; a pet is all she need,s....just trying to be a usefull member of the family.
my sister had a cat that used to do that, She was an inside cat for about 3 years then my mom (who is allergic) got fed up and tossed the cat outside. That's when she started doing it and my mom would take a paper towel pick what ever it was up and toss it in the yard so I guess the cat figured it wasn't good enough cuzz she started bringing in bigger stuff. Went from mice, to field rats, to squirrels, then rabbits. My parents live in the country if you haven't figured it out and since we like all the rabbits that populated our little part of the area she finally let the cat come back in and the mass murder was stopped for all the good of the land. Nah she still would kill a rat or mouse when we let her outside she just stopped bringing it to the house and would eat it outside. It was too bad to cuzz nothing funnier than a 190lbs woman running from a 13lbs cat that was just trying to give her the foot long field rat it caught in the corn field, lol.
She thinks she is providing for you. Do not let her out would be my suggestion.
They like you and want to share their find with you.
Im not a cat person but Ive always been told that they are bringing you a gift. Accept the gift and when she drops it trash it
Hey wait a minute. You can only stop this if you don't like your cat! Didn't you know that a cat bringing you these rodents is proud of what he's doing? This is a treat for you, like now you need to notice that the cat is smart, fast, alert, and interested in impressing you. He needs a pat on the head and that's that. Got to live with those little gifts, that's all, and yes, they put them right in front of the door, so YOU WILL NOTICE, get it?
Actually... Don't stop her.

In truth, you cat is bringing you these seeking your approval, and because she loves you. This isn't a bad thing.

Just pet her, tell her ';Good girl';, maybe give her a treat... Then, when she isn't there to see it, remove it and toss the mouse/baby mole/whatever into the trash.
they are hunters by nature when your cat does this it means she is bringing you presents..thats how they say thanks
just praise her and remove it from where she has left it to a more suitable place. she's bringing you gifts to show that she loves you. if you discipline her for it she wont want to catch a mouse when you have one in the house. our one year old male tabby does the same thing.
Sounds like your cat really adores you! I know its gross, but cats will never give up a ';kill'; to anyone unless they see you as their 'pride' leader. She is trying to show you that she is a capable individual who can contribute to the 'pride' . Cats are considered loners, but many of the big game cats live in packs, and you are the leader of her pack. Praise her and tell her she is doing great, and most of the time, after they come to understand that you understand what they are doing they will stop, and it will only happen occasionally. so feel loved!
Those are just little kitty presents...Just pet her say thanks and ditch it
Your cat just considers you a part of her pride. She's just doing her best to provide for you. You're not going to get her to stop so just try and be pleased that your cat loves you. And watch where you step.
It means she loves you. She is just following her little kitty instincts to bring her family some food. Unfortunately, there's not much you can do to stop her, other than making her a house-bound kitty. Just remember to look before you step on the porch! And remember to thank her for the wonderful snack! LOL.
these are gifts, so accept them graciously. be sure to acknowledge your cat in the same way you would a friend who brought you $1000.
