(living in the desert)how can I keep them damn rodents out of my veggie garden?

Rodents are: ground squirels,Chipmunks, rats, muskrats,kangaroo-rats,rabbits etc. Also birds!(living in the desert)how can I keep them damn rodents out of my veggie garden?
Fill old socks with human and/or pet hair, dryer lint, vacuum bag contents and hang on stakes around your vegies. People pee (save it in a coffee can and sprinkle around garden perimeter), cat pee and/or poop. Slivers of old soap bars, anything human smelling. No rabbits visit my 40' x 60' garden of corn, peas, beans peppers... Good luck

And for the birds.....old CD's hung from strings on tree limbs, stakes, whatever. Even little aluminum pie tins work as bird deterrants. Have fun(living in the desert)how can I keep them damn rodents out of my veggie garden?
dam rascelly wabbits, invest in a homeland security dog, not only will he or she keep the damn rodents out of the veggie garden, they make good company when your feeling blue, what kind of veggies you growing? can i put in an order for fresh ocra? lol try the dog, if that doesnt work, get yourself a pellet gun and brush up on your shooting skills, either way you have something to eat, lol, HAND have a nice day!!!
Don't be stingy and share with all of those poor little animals who also need food to survive! If you don't want them to eat your vegetables, then plant a separate garden for them!! It's the best you can do.
