How do rodents get mites, ticks, lice, or other bugs?

I read online that many rodents can get certain bugs that can cause problems. These problems can include hairloss and itching. I was wondering how these rodents can get any of these? Can they get it if they have never been outside? How do rodents get mites, ticks, lice, or other bugs?
They're usually transported indoors by other household pets. Humans, too. My daughter worked in a kennel where there were lots of fleas and they'd jump on her clothes and socks and shoes and they'd come home with her.

After it leading to one infestation in my home, she was under orders to drop her shoes %26amp; socks outside before coming into my house. I also asked her to start wearing something different....

If there are neighbors with pets....like dogs and cats.... and they have any parasites on them, those can be simply carried over by the wind.

As for the mites and lice.... I don't know. I'd imagine that the same thing applies to them as well. I had a hamster once and really never saw a problem come up.How do rodents get mites, ticks, lice, or other bugs?
They can get mites, ticks, lice, etc. if you let them outside (i.e. run in grass in backyard) or if you feed them outside grass (larvae %26amp; eggs that you can't see might be on the grass)
its not common in indoor rodents. but, there is a type of formula u can give your pet if he happens to get it, but i wouldnt worry about it.
They can definately get bugs if they are allowed outside, namely in grassy areas. If you live in an area where there are deer, turkeys, or any kind of wildlife passing through, it doubles the chance. They can also get it from being around other animals in the house, such as from dogs or your cats, or other such pets.
Yes they can still get it kids in elementary can get lice from the person that sits next to them

its just they way those little bugs live they jump from one person to another or from one animals to another its all the same
