Do dog whistles work on squirrels or other rodents?

There are squirrels in the crawl space above my office at work. This has happened before. The landlord has been called, but from past experience, it takes about a week to clear things up. They run around a lot. Very annoying. I would like to get rid of them, or at least get them to move to a different part of the complex.

Do dog whistles annoy or scare squirrels or other similar animals such as rodents?

Strike that. All of the other answerers said it wouldn't work, but not you. And you were funny.

Interesting question. I have tried this in the past and it doesn't really effect rodents like you think it would. Here's a great article and some interesting stuff about rodent hearing. Best thing to do is to block off all access to the crawl space.Good luck.

ultrasonic you mean? yes they do! But they don鈥檛 hear low frequency range. This is how owls hunt for them.

I mean squirrels hear ultrasonic waves, but they don鈥檛 care; there鈥檚 no animal producing such squeaks and dangerous for them.

Squirrels' enemies are wild and domestic cats, dogs and foxes, birds of prey, martens, snakes, humans, and stoats and weasels. Keep one of them in your household! LOL! Also a parrot that can bark like a dog and mew like a cat!
Not really!
don't think so
