How do I keep rodents/pests from digging up and eating freshly-planted seeds?

I planted some morning glory seeds and 2 days ago and today I see it's all dug up where the seeds were, so I assume they are all gone. Is there anything to put on top of the dirt to keep them out? There's still time to try again !!How do I keep rodents/pests from digging up and eating freshly-planted seeds?
Tough question! Here is my best advice, from experience. Get some hot peppers, break them up, and spread it around your plants. Bury some into the ground also. They will deter the rodents/pests, and break down in the soil, creating a good fertilizer. Regards-Bob.How do I keep rodents/pests from digging up and eating freshly-planted seeds?
rat poison
Try peeing around the seeds but not directly on them.
put a bim liner over the area where the seeds are, and then put some stones on top to keep it down. keep checking every day to see if they have started growing, and when they have just take the liners off.
ok one way is to spray panther piss covering seeded area the sent will scare smaller prey away.
spray the area with dog / animal repellent

this could be hot pepper - won't kill the critters nor harm the seeds

Usually lawn %26amp; garden stores sell these repellents
