Rodents....?

a few days ago, i started to hear noises in the celing and walls, at first, i thought that it was normal, then the noises became more frequent, now, im pretty sure that the noises are from rats or maybe mice, but i havent noticed any other signs of an infestation and we've never had a pest problem before. im not sure if i should call an exterminator or not, any advice?Rodents....?
Set out some traps and you'll know soon enough. I wouldn't poison because they will die in the walls and you have never smelled ANYTHING like a rotting rat! Get them with traps, it's gross but believe me; it's better than the alternative!Rodents....?
Well of course you should call an exterminator. Rodents can do a lot of damage to your insulation, wiring etc. Or if you prefer to save the cost of an exterminator; first set a trap just inside the attic and check it the next day; if there's a mouse in the trap call an exterminator.
Before calling and exterminator set up some glue traps around areas near food and open water (sink areas). If you have dogs or cats that are around make sure all their food is cleaned up.

Glue traps are kind of messy but if one is missing or has moved you can tell something is roaming around your house. They also slow a running rodent down big time.

Regular traps are ok but they can be messy and sometimes the rodent still is alive. If this is your option keep a heavy boot and bible handy for last rites.

If all that doesn't work start stuffing any cracks or holes in the walls and floors with steel wool. If the rodents try eating it it will sometimes turn them away.
Hello Comic.Spring is upon us,so its possible that squirrels coming out of hibernation have gained access to your attic. They can be a tricky little critter to get rid of.First it is crucial to determine what you are dealing with and from where they are gaining access.Look for access points and maybe you can trap them outside before they get into your house. With squirrels it would be nice to live trap them and release them into the wild, preferably miles away so they dont return. Also it will lessen the possibility of one falling down a wall and dieing. That would really stink. If you determine that you have mice or rats, then the story changes.they can be ultra destructive and messy. Also they can be disease carriers, which require immediate attention. You could try setting up some basic mouse traps or rat traps(whichever is required) to catch them,or you could get creative. If you find areas with lots of droppings, then you have located a frequently visited area.Start drawing the critters into an area that you want them to be in.This will begin your setting of the trap.Get them to a higher elevation where there will be a garbage can set in a particular place.once they have become accustomed to this spot ,draw them closer to the g-can.Next place your offering inside the can,but allow them access out again.Soon they will bring their friends and all will be used to entering and exiting the g-can.You will know its working due to the droppings inside the can(Monitor This).Once you have a lot of traffic.make it so they fall into the can.they are trapped, one after another, due to they're being creatures of habit. This should rid your home of rodents.Make sure you deal with the area of entrance,so you dont get more of them.
