How sick is it to feed rodents to snakes?

I have a really big thing for rodents, is it just me or is feeding innocent rodents to snakes horrible!How sick is it to feed rodents to snakes?
You eat innocent cows...... it's in your nature...


Snakes eat mice............... you get my point...

Snakes have to eat too, but I don't feed live rodents anyway. They are humanely euthanized using CO2 before they are frozen and then thawed out later for feeding. I don't think it's a good idea to feed live as it poses a huge risk to the snake. It doesn't matter whether you like it or not though. The snakes eat rodents. They won't eat a pre cooked steak (which was also alive at one point as well). You have to feed what is natural to that species. You wouldn't expect a lion to eat tofu would you? There's nothing innocent about rodents anyway. Once you've kept some for breeding you realize just how nasty a mouse can be. They will eat each other, their babies and kill the babies from another mouse. If it wasn't for snakes in the wild, we'd all be dead from the plague or starvation as the rodents would have eaten every last source of grain around.
It isn't horrible. Is it horrible that you or your family eat beef, chicken, pork and fish? Those animals suffered a great deal more than the rats in my freezer for my snakes. They were humanely euthanized and raised right. All animals need to eat. Did you ever think about the plants rats and other rodents eat? Those are living too... Just because they can't talk doesn't mean they aren't alive.
how sick is it that lions eat gazelles? how sick is it that cats eat tuna? how sick is it that you eat hamburger?every day millions of animals are killed for your food,why are you complaining about a snake eating a disease carrying mouse?don't get me wrong i love animals but snakes can't survive without mice. its how it goes so not sick at all.most of us on here feed pre killed mice since we love animals,i feed frozen. they die painlessly in their sleep as the co2 replaces air.then they go into the fridge. its how it goes its not sick at all. believe me if i could change what snakes eat i would but i can't so i feed rodents.its the way the food chain is.
If this offends you, then WHY are you on the reptile site? - I am not God and as far as I know, you are not either- we don't get to ';pick'; what nature has selected a particular creature to eat. Besides, if snakes didn't do their part in the food chain, we would be over-run with disgusting vermin, carrying diseases and eating OUR food. Well, it's completely natural for the snake. In the wild they would eat rodents and other small animals anyway. When I had my king snake I fed him already dead (frozen...thawed out of course) pinkie mice. When he got bigger I fed him frozen fuzzy mice.

I dont think its horrible but its sad. I think its alright even though it still bugs me if their frozen. Its just wrong sad and sick if you seed it to them live ;(
How horrible is it to feed cows to people? Or pigs, or chickens?

all living creatures need to eat so no it is not that horrible
