What will a corn snake eat other then rodents?

I definatly know to feed it rodents but can I give the snake insects like spider, grasshopper, ect. This will be my fist snake but I don't have it yet. It's going to be 2 months old when I get it. So if anyone has advice plz tell me thxWhat will a corn snake eat other then rodents?
well...when they are born, corns start off on crickets, but that's not for long. once they are being sold in the stores, they will eat only mice. start off with the smallest pinkie mouse, then gradually upgrade as your snake gets bigger. the reason they need rodents is because of the nutrition they get. feeding on insects wouldn't give them the nutrition they need to survive. here's a tip to know when to upgrade the size of mouse. look at the size of the thickest part of its body(call the girth) and feed it a mouse the size of or a little bit bigger then that. that way you are always feeding the correct size food that it needs to be healthy. also, depending on your preference, you can feed frozen( you thaw it in warm/hot water) or live. i recommend frozen just because there is no way for the mouse to harm your snake( this only applies when eating bigger sized mice).

anyways, i hope this helps!

While I agree with Alyssa's answer for the most part, even brand new corns can eat what are called ';freshies';... brand new pinky mice... in the wild, however, brand new corns will eat whatever they come by... lizards, insects, stuff like that, but since our goal as reptile owners is to replicate the best case scenario for our animals, stick with rodents... crickets don't supply as much nutrition as pinkies, and most anoles in the pet trade are wild caught and likely to have parasites which you do not want to pass on to your snake.
A buddy of mine used to feed his corn snake high protein insects like grasshoppers and crickets, but that really only suffices while they're small (1-2') after they surpass that size, you'd have to pour so many crickets in that cage it'd be ridiculous.. really you should just go ahead and grab one of those mouse-cicles once a month, because it really is the easiest. Makes for a happy snake.

PS. make sure the lid is weighted down real well. my friends corn snake escaped the tank, i don't know HOW many times! Sneaky little guy.
Stick to rodents. That's all he needs and should be fed. If you need more information on cornsnakes, go here :)
