How do I keep rodents from eating tomatoes from my plants?

I have some very hot peppers, can I use them to keep the squirrels, coons, bunnies,etc. out of my garden? What do you suggest?

you can buy at your harware store a wax liquid with hot peppers in it to stop rodents from eating things or try a sprayer of water sun flower oil and red cyanne pepper spray on it
pesticides
