Are ultra sonic devices any good against rodents?

Would consider getting ultra-sonics to repel the mice, but do these devices actually work?Are ultra sonic devices any good against rodents?
According to the University of Nebraska:


The consensus of researchers who have actually investigated ultrasonic devices is these products do not effectively repel or eliminate pests from homes. In fact, in the 1980's the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) charged several companies with false advertising and required them to make refunds to customers. My guess is it is just a matter of time and the FTC will go after the makers of these other devices also.Are ultra sonic devices any good against rodents?
Hi I have one that you plug in and I have not seen a mouse (or anything else) since. I would def recommend one! Not sure what make it is though but Im sure they are all pretty much the same!
We have two, they may have worked for a while but if they ever did, well the rodents got used to them. And they certainly don't seem to work for insects!

bait is all well, but you don't know where they cark it, and might stink the house out..





trap is better , as said baited with chocolate or peanut butter





I bought 4 pack from robert dyas which was ok





and another 3 pack from homebase.. again ok





and one expensive one that does electromagnet + ultra sound..





it's basically like a dog whistle is to a dog, it's an annoying noise for them.





or if you can find where they get in , stop that. helps also..





they do also attract foxes for some reason, so you have been warned..
Not as much as a spring-loaded trap with a bit of chocolate on the end. Or rat poisin.
I have a cat called Ultra Sonic and she's f.....g brilliant at repelling mice!
We have three ultrasonics and I've seen just as many mice after we installed them as before. They seem useless to me.

No, theymare a complete con. You may as well leave the radio on, that will annoy them for a short time.
I can only tell you that my mother in law swears that they are effective for both rodents and insects in her home.
