the main reason people use rodents for most lab testing because they are the only mammals that multiply so fast.they can breed in any season and can have upto 2-4 breeding cycles in a year.





tumors/cancers are the most common deseass studied on rodents while antibody production for experiments is the most common use of rodents. the others are reproductive disorders, effects of antibiotics, cosmetics etc, behavior related studies etc.
