of course, you'd have to find out if these are legal where you are fromWhat are some different types of rodents that not many people know about?
sugar gliders. they r small cute and cuddly. Native to Australia, they r expansive, and u need a nice cage for them.
capybaras (largest rodent in the world) they r not pets
degus. they r slowly being heard of now. no one knew wat they were last year. They r like gerbils but smaller and more kangaroo looking (not color-wise)
another thing is jirds that barely anyone knows about

not alot of people know about jirds, and some people don't no about how a guinea pig should be cared for.
apart from that , rodents are verry popular , however sometimes people mistake larger animals such as praire dogs as not being rodents , however they ar and so are beavers and squirrels . Why do you ask this question.
I've never seen anyone with a dormouse before and I've been trying to get one but I can't seem to find any.
a capubara you will need most of your backyaard as a wetland.
Spiny mice.
